My boyfriend has always been talking about his great uncle who lost his life in Operation Jubilee in Dieppe, France. When we planned to go to Paris for Christmas, we knew we had to go to Dieppe. But, how do you find the grave of a loved one in another country? Would we be on a wild goose chase? My boyfriend found Diane and everything fell into place. From the moment we got off the train it was the most meaningful day for us. Diane doesn't just know historical facts, she lives and breathes the relevance of history and how it makes up our fabric of today. Prior to our arrival she found the gravesite. That was a bright spot for us! After traveling from the USA, we will have an actual grave to pay respect to. She was organized, thoughtful and provided all the right touches. My boyfriend and I loved talking to her and learning about not only Operation Jubilee, but her other tours and books. Diane, I can't thank you enough for this experience that was so incredibly meaningful to Karl. It is a memory I will always hold close to my heart.
